Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma
Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma focuses on the function of yoga as a nervous system healing tool. We don't focus on the alignment or goals of reaching "the full expression of a pose". Instead we explore the concepts of choice, autonomy, and felt sensation – all critical pieces of trauma recovery.
Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release® (BBTRS®)
Biodynamic Breathwork and Trauma Release® uses breath to create charge in the body – this acts like a flashlight shining on the places of tension that are holding trauma inside of us. After we locate the tension, BBTRS® uses bodywork, emotional expression, movement, sound, and meditation to unwind.

Trauma-Sensitive Mindful Meditation
Trauma-sensitive mindful meditation (TSMM) does not give overwhelming sensations our full and focused attention – a common practice in traditional meditation styles. In TSMM stillness is not required and we prioritize safety and flexibility to help us grow our capacity and resilience.
Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises®
Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises® (TRE®) initiate a tremoring in the hip flexor muscles. This is a genetically encoded mechanism for releasing tension in our bodies and sending signals to our brainstem that communicate safety and calm.

Neurogenic Yoga®
Similarly to TRE®, Neurogenic Yoga is a therapeutic yoga flow designed to help initiate a tremoring in the hip flexor muscles. This is a genetically encoded mechanism for releasing tension in our bodies and sending signals to our brainstem that communicate safety and calm.
Sound Healing Facilitation
In sound healing you are immersed in sound frequencies that are scientifically proven to optimize your body's ability to heal, detox, and self-regulate. These frequencies also induce theta brain states – opening your mind to a meditative sort of flexibility that allows you to rewrite and rewire patterns of belief that no longer serve your healing process.

Somatic Trauma Integration
Somatic integration is all about relearning the language of our body. Our bodies are really great at telling us what we need to feel calm, grounded, and safe. The problem is that we've forgotten the language of sensation. So the body begins to scream to get our attention. Somatic integration helps us become more capable of meeting our needs early on, before they spiral outside our capacity.
